Committed to providing the best police service to the Town of Combes, the carefully selected officers of the Combes P.D. undergo the best training available. In the rare chance that you find yourself in a situation where you have to lodge a complaint with regards to the actions of an officer or employee of the Combes Police Department, you will find the department most responsive and forthcoming.
Please go over the following guidelines to learn the proper procedure of making complaints, and understand how the complaints are investigated.
Citizen Complaint Forms
How Complaints are made
Any individual who wants to file a complaint may do so by visiting the Town of Combes Municipal Complex between 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday.
Municipal Complex location: 21626 Hand Road, Building A Combes, Texas 78535
According to Texas State Law (Government Code 614.022), all complaints against police officers must be in writing and signed by the person making the complaint. As is the case with citizens who must be notified of the charges against them when they are arrested, copies of the complaints will be given to the police officers against whom the complaint is filed. The complaint must be made by the individual who claims to be the aggrieved party, while other individuals involved may record their statements in the capacity of witnesses.
In case of traffic tickets or any differences of opinion between citizens and police officers regarding the issuance of the tickets involving the question of guilt or innocence of the individual arrested, an investigation will only take place if there is a specific allegation of misconduct levied against an officer or employee of Combes P.D.
Questions regarding your court appearance should be directed to the Town of Combes Municipal Court Clerk during office hours.
